Vacuum Suction Feeder

The Vacuum Suction Feeder is designed to automate material feeding with precision and consistency. Using advanced vacuum technology, it efficiently handles stacked paper, cardboard or flexible substrates. It reduces manual labor, improves production efficiency, ensures accurate positioning, and supports continuous high-speed printing operations.

Description

Every material handler knows the products friction feeders hate: plastic films that cling together, glossy coated cards that slip or scuff, ultra-thin papers that buckle under belt pressure, and airtight laminated stock that comes up in pairs no matter how the separator is set. The vacuum suction feeder exists for exactly these products.

Instead of gripping by friction, it lifts and advances each piece by controlled suction through a perforated belt no rubbing contact on the printed face, no separation gamble on slick surfaces, no pressure on materials that can’t take it. RobotJet builds it on the same vacuum-handling Vacuum Suction Feeder expertise inside our single pass printers, where suction transport holds materials flat through the print zone thousands of times a day.

Why Certain Materials Demand Vacuum

Films and plastics cling. Static and surface smoothness bond plastic sheets into blocks that friction separators split unreliably. The Vacuum Suction Feeder breaks the stack with air-blast separation, then picks exactly one sheet by suction the mechanism matches the physics of the material.

Glossy surfaces slip and scuff. Friction needs grip, and coated stock offers none belts either slip (misfeeds) or press harder (scuff marks on the customer-facing surface). Suction holds firmly with zero rubbing: laminated cards, UV coated prints, and photo stock feed mark-free.

Thin and delicate materials deform. Tissue-weight papers, foils, and light films buckle under friction belt pressure. Vacuum lifts and carries instead of pushing the piece arrives downstream as flat as it left the stack.

Airtight stacks double-feed. Laminates and films seal against each other; friction feeders deliver them in stubborn pairs. Air-assist fans the stack edge while suction takes only the top or bottom sheet, run after run.

How It Works

Compressed air fans the stack edge, floating sheets apart. The perforated vacuum belt engages a single sheet top-pick or bottom-pick depending on configuration and carries it forward under continuous suction, releasing it squared and spaced into the downstream machine. Vacuum strength and air-blast tune per material in seconds, and digital speed control paces the line.

Changeovers stay operator-simple: guides slide to the new format, vacuum dials to the new material, and the next product runs films before lunch, coated cards after.

What It Feeds

PET, PP, PVC and other plastic films and sheets; laminated and encapsulated cards; UV-coated and varnished prints; photo paper and glossy stock; foils and metallized sheets; ultra-thin papers and tissue-weight materials; synthetic labels and face stock; airtight blister and lidding materials; and any flat product that friction handling slips on, marks, or doubles.

If your material feeds fine on friction, our Vacuum Suction Feeder costs less and needs no air supply we’ll test your product and route you to the mechanism it actually needs, not the one with the bigger price tag.

Vacuum Expertise From the Print Zone

Suction material handling is core RobotJet Vacuum Suction Feeder engineering: inside our [water based ink digital printer] platforms, vacuum conveyors with hundreds of adsorption ports hold every sheet dead flat beneath print heads at 1200 dpi where even slight material lift blurs the image. This feeder applies the same discipline upstream: stable suction, tunable air, and delivery geometry designed for the registration accuracy downstream machines depend on.

That shared engineering also means shared support: one Beijing team answers for the feeder, the printer, and the line between them for life.

Choosing Your Feeding Mechanism

Choose the Vacuum Suction Feeder if your materials are thin, slick, coated, delicate, or airtight the products friction physically cannot handle cleanly.

Choose the [Friction Feeder] if you feed standard paper and card products and want the simplest, most economical unit.

Choose the [Automated Friction Feeder] if you’re building a synchronized high-speed line around friction-suitable products.

The honest routing costs nothing: send a sample of your material, and we’ll feed it on camera before you decide.

The RobotJet Standard Behind It

Itemized FOB pricing with no hidden costs, remote installation guidance, operator training, a 2-year warranty, stocked spare belts and wear parts, and free lifetime technical support from our Beijing engineers the process behind RobotJet equipment in over 120 countries and beyond 10000 days of stable field operation. Frequently Asked Questions

What is a vacuum suction feeder used for? It feeds thin, glossy, delicate, or airtight flat materials plastic films, coated cards, laminates, foils, lightweight papers one piece at a time into printing and production machines, using suction instead of friction so surfaces stay unmarked and separation stays reliable.

How do I know if I need vacuum instead of friction? Three signs: your material double-feeds no matter the adjustment, shows scuff or belt marks after feeding, or deforms under feed pressure. Send us a sample we’ll test it on both mechanisms and send you the video evidence.

Does it damage printed or coated surfaces? No that’s its defining advantage. Suction holds the sheet without rubbing contact on the face, so glossy, laminated, and freshly printed surfaces feed mark-free.

What does it require to run? Standard electrical supply plus compressed air for the suction and separation system a normal workshop compressor covers it. We specify the exact air requirement in your quote.

Can it integrate with my existing line? Yes digital speed control paces any downstream printer, laminator, coder, or packaging machine, and mounting configurations adapt to existing conveyors. Many units ship standalone into third party lines.

What’s included with purchase? The feeder configured for your material, air-system specification, remote installation, operator training, a 2-year warranty, spare wear parts, and free lifetime support plus a filmed feeding demo of your actual product before you commit.
