The digital printer control board is independently developed to provide the device with an efficient and stable “brain” Relying on profound experience in R&D and manufacturing of printing control boards, the company has built a business model of parallel board supply and whole machine production. Its products and services cover the global market, offering one-stop solutions for domestic and foreign machine manufacturers with Software for Printing Industry that enhances printing machine control systems.
Before RobotJet built a single complete printer, we built the part most machine builders can’t: the inkjet control board the electronics that fire thousands of nozzles with microsecond timing and the RIP software that turns artwork files into those firing instructions. That was our founding business in 2015, and it remains the core technology inside every machine we ship today.
Now the same boards and software are available as components: for OEMs building their own printing machines, integrators adding inkjet to existing production lines, and factories retrofitting or upgrading machines whose original electronics no longer serve. You get field proven control technology running in over 120 countries with the engineering team that wrote every line of it as your support contact.

Two machines with identical print heads can produce entirely different results because heads only do what their electronics tell them, at exactly the moment they’re told:
Waveform control shapes every droplet. Piezo heads like the Ricoh Gen6 and Epson i3200 form droplets according to the electrical waveform driving them; greyscale printing variable droplet sizes within one pass is entirely a control-board achievement. Poor waveforms mean satellites, misting, and grain; tuned waveforms mean the print quality the head’s datasheet promised.
Encoder synchronization keeps single-pass honest. In single pass printing, material moves continuously and the board must fire each nozzle at the precise encoder tick matching its position across multiple stitched heads simultaneously. Registration accuracy is born here, not in mechanics alone.
Multi-head stitching is invisible when done right. Wide print bars combine several heads; the control system aligns their overlap zones so the seam disappears. Visible stitch lines are a controls failure buyers blame on the head.
The RIP feeds it all. Color management, screening, variable data, and file processing determine what instructions exist to execute. Our RIP was written alongside our boards one pipeline, no third-party translation layers, no license meter running.
OEM machine builders developing their own single-pass and specialty printers on proven electronics instead of spending years reinventing waveform control. System integrators adding digital printing stations to existing packaging, converting, and product lines. Factories retrofitting older inkjet machines whose original boards are obsolete, unsupported, or feature-locked. Developers of specialty applications unusual substrates, unusual geometries who need custom firing control and an engineering partner rather than a parts catalog.
If you’ve evaluated the usual board vendors, you know the pattern: licensed features, per-machine fees, and support tickets answered by resellers. Our model is the opposite everything unlocked, and the actual designers on your support calls.
Specification. Tell us your head choice, machine architecture, and application; our engineers confirm the board configuration and flag integration considerations before you commit.
Development support. Documentation, wiring and encoder guidance, waveform baselines for your ink, and remote engineering sessions through bring-up you’re integrating with the team that designed the hardware.
Production. Boards and software ship with the same warranty and lifetime support as our complete machines, from stock in Beijing.
Evolution. As your machine develops new heads, white ink channels, variable data features the same team develops with you. Custom firmware and software work is a conversation, not a change-order battle.
Every claim above ships inside RobotJet’s complete printers the water based ink digital printer platforms, [book edge printing machines], roll to roll systems, and container printers running production in over 120 countries, with core equipment past 10,000 days of stable field operation. When you build on our boards, you inherit that field history the edge cases already found, the firmware already hardened, the ink chemistries already characterized.
That’s the difference between a component vendor and a machine manufacturer selling its own foundation: we live on this technology ourselves.
Buy the Control Board & Software if you’re building, integrating, or retrofitting machines and need proven print control with real engineering support.
Buy a complete RobotJet machine if your goal is production, not machine building every printer in our range ships with this technology already inside, installed and tuned.
Either way, the first conversation is free: describe your project and our engineers will tell you honestly which path and which head family fits it.
What is an inkjet control board? It’s the electronics that drive an industrial print head controlling nozzle firing, droplet waveforms, greyscale modes, and synchronization with material movement. Together with RIP software, it determines the print quality, speed, and features a machine can actually deliver.
Which print heads do your boards support? Epson industrial heads including the i3200 series and WF-C20590, Ricoh Gen5 and Gen6, and HP industrial thermal heads the same families running in our own machines. Ask about additional heads; support expands continually.
Are features licensed or locked? No everything is included: greyscale modes, white ink channels, variable data, ICC color, tiling. No per-machine fees, no subscriptions, lifetime software updates. That’s been our model since 2015.
Can you support a custom or unusual application? Yes custom waveform development, firmware modifications, and application-specific software features are core services, handled directly by the engineers who designed the platform.
Do you help with integration? Fully: documentation, encoder and wiring guidance, ink characterization baselines, and remote engineering sessions through your machine’s bring-up. You integrate alongside the design team, not a reseller.
What proof exists that the technology works? Every RobotJet machine in the field runs on it 120+ countries, 10,000+ days of stable core-equipment operation, dozens of invention patents and software copyrights. Request references matching your application and we’ll connect you.
